While the battle between Old Man Winter and Spring is still being waged on land here at the tip of Cape Cod, the North Atlantic right whales are”right” on time. Local residents and day trippers walking along Provincetown’s beautiful beaches are reporting lots of sightings of these majestic mammals who have come to feed on our plankton rich waters. It’s believed that they number somewhere in the 20s and 30s, so it is a thrill to see these rare whales. If you check out the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies page on Facebook, you can get a pretty good idea of where to look on any given day.
Back here on land, we are counting down the days until First Tea and the opening of the hotel on Friday, May 2, 2014. Did you know that we have added Friday to our spring and fall Tea Dance schedule? Stay tuned. We have lots of surprises in store for you this season!
